I thought I would do another classic album pick today! We're going back to 1995 with Oasis' softmore album, (WHAT'S THE STORY) MORNING GLORY? This is Oasis' most famous album, with over 22 million copies sold. For those who don't know Oasis very well, this is the album which the campfire favorite WONDERWALL appears, yet as most Oasis fans will tell you, there is plenty of other fantastic tracks to explore! This album is almost unparalleled in tracklist of all beauty songs! Most albums have two or three, but nearly every song on this album is a single! Wonderwall, don't look back in anger, cast no shadow, some might say and champaign supernova are just a few notables. I have a lot of love for the other Oasis albums, but Morning Glory definitely provides the most complete album experience. For those who are familiar with the album, you can look forward to 40 minutes of head-bobbing, rolling solos and epic choruses. With a big brother who's favourite band is Oasis, I was lucky to be exposed to Oasis from a young age. To me, they are the quintessential rock band of the 90's. They exhibit the classic Rock'n Rolla attitude of drugs, women and distorted guitars. And in and amongst the somewhat abstract lyrics lie many poetic lines. Morning Glory showcases Oasis at their peak, before the feuding brothers went their separate ways. Take some time out of your day and enjoy some good ol' Rock'n Roll.
